About the Role

We are looking for experienced Aged Care Registered Nurses to join our Aequra Team We have 4 facilities located in Sydney: Miranda, Strathfield, Summer Hill, Greystanes and Punchbowl This position will report to the Care Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of key direct care activities such as nursing care procedures, restorative care, safe behavioural management in dementia care, health emergency responses, infection prevention & control.
  • Provide leadership and first line supervision to Nursing Assistants including the allocation and delegation of duties.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals and service providers in the coordination, management and delivery of care.
  • Develop, implement & evaluate Nursing Care Plans for all residents through comprehensive assessments.
  • Documentation to support resident care needs.

Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Completed Bachelor of Nursing or higher.
  • Minimum of 3 years Aged Care Registered Nurse experience in Australia.
  • Excellent communication skills with a patient, compassionate and caring approach to working with people.
  • Takes initiative for problem solving with a resilient yet empathetic approach towards the solution.
  • A good eye for detail and an ability to work well under pressure.
  • A team player with a vibrant, welcoming, and pleasant manner.
