About the Company
MetaComp Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-based financial services provider, licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) under the Payment Services Act. We operate at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets, providing payment services, digital payment token (DPT) services, card business, and cross-border solutions to institutional and corporate clients across the region. As the business scales, we are strengthening our finance function with a Finance Business Partner who can operate hands-on across financial planning, commercial analysis, and cross-functional business support.
About the Role
The Finance Business Partner will work closely with product, commercial, operations, and leadership teams across our payments, card, and digital asset business lines. The role is expected to be hands-on across financial planning, modelling, data analysis, and cross-functional support, translating financial insight into commercial decisions and supporting the finance function's continued development.
Responsibilities
- ● Financial planning and performance management - Participant in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews for assigned business units, and take ownership of both the underlying analysis and the accompanying commentary.
- ● Financial modelling and commercial analysis - develop and maintain financial models covering cost simulation, pricing, deal analysis, and scenario planning to support decision-making.
- ● Data analysis and management reporting - extract, structure, and analyse financial and operational data; design and produce management reports where existing reporting is not available.
- ● Business partnering - work directly with business heads to understand product economics, review performance, challenge assumptions, and support commercial decisions.
- ● Strategic and regulatory projects - support product launches, cross-jurisdictional expansion, including preparation of financial analysis and internal documentation.
- ● Finance process improvement and automation - identify inefficiencies in finance processes and work with technology and operations teams to design and implement automation and system improvements.
- ● Ad hoc analysis and projects - support the broader finance and leadership teams on ad hoc requests, including business cases, board and investor materials, and internal reviews.
- ● 1. Payment services product knowledge
- ● Direct working experience with payment services products, including cross-border transfers, e-money, merchant acquiring, card issuing and acquiring, stablecoin / DPT services, and on/off-ramp flows. A strong commercial and operational understanding of how these products generate revenue, incur cost, and interact with clients, banking partners, and regulators.
- ● 2. Financial modelling and commercial analysis
- ● Strong financial modelling skills, with the ability to build P&L, unit economics, pricing, and scenario models from first principles and to clearly articulate the underlying assumptions. Ability to use financial analysis to support and challenge commercial decisions.
- ● 3. Business partnering and stakeholder communication
- ● Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders, provide constructive challenge to business owners, and influence decisions across functions and seniority levels.
- ● Tax awareness - general awareness of tax considerations for digital asset and payment service products across jurisdictions (e.g. GST/VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax), sufficient to identify issues and engage with tax advisors, rather than a full tax specialist background.
- ● Regulatory environment - prior experience in a MAS-regulated environment (PSA, MPI licence) or other regulated financial services.
- ● Digital assets exposure - experience with DPT services, custody, OTC, stablecoin issuance, or on/off-ramp business models.
- ● Card business exposure - experience with card issuing, acquiring, scheme economics (Visa / Mastercard), interchange, or BIN sponsorship.
Requirements
- ● Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering roles, preferably within payments, fintech, or digital assets.
- ● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- ● Strong hands-on orientation, with the ability to take ownership of both strategic analysis and detailed execution.
- ● Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.
- ● Fluent in English; working proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage given regional coverage.
- ● Based in Singapore, or willing to relocate.
- ● Opportunity to work at the intersection of regulated payments and digital assets, one of the most dynamic areas in financial services.
- ● Direct exposure to senior management and involvement in decisions that shape the business.
- ● Opportunity to contribute to the build-out of a modern, scalable finance function.
- ● Collaborative team environment with a focus on ownership and impact.
