About the Company

We have an urgent requirement for Director/ Senior Director(Data Protection, Privacy & Governance) for our client in Dubai, UAE Lead enterprise wide data protection, privacy, and governance strategy, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies.--Must Establish frameworks for risk management, access control, classification, encryption, and oversee investigations of breaches or privacy incidents.--Must Drive awareness, advisory programs, and collaborate with leadership and business units to strengthen the organization's security posture.--Must Manage departmental performance, budgets, and partnerships, while preparing executive reports on risks, challenges, and recommendations.--Must Candidate should be in Dubai and provides - Dubai Family book & Dubai Passport) Lead the organization's data protection, privacy, and data governance function, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, safeguarding data assets, managing data-related risks, and driving strategic initiatives that enable secure and responsible use of data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the data protection and data governance strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Lead enterprise-wide privacy, security, and data governance programs.
  • Establish frameworks for data risk management, access control, classification, and encryption.
  • Oversee investigations related to data breaches, privacy incidents, and misuse of information.
  • Provide strategic guidance on data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor compliance performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, awareness, and advisory programs on data protection.
  • Manage departmental performance, budgets, resources, and strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare executive reports on performance, risks, challenges, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's: 12+ years of experience, including 6+ years in leadership roles.
  • Master's: 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • PhD: 8+ years of experience, including 4+ years in leadership roles.
