About the Company

My client is looking for an experienced Cyber Risk Consultant to join its Sydney team, working across Australia, New Zealand, Greater China and Africa. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong cyber security background who wants to move into the commercial and underwriting side of cyber risk, with a potential pathway towards a Cyber Underwriting career.

About the Role

Assess cyber risks, security controls, governance and resilience. Provide cyber risk recommendations to support underwriting and portfolio decisions. Work closely with underwriters, brokers and clients. Keep up to date with emerging cyber threats, ransomware and regulatory developments. Support client engagement, business development and cyber risk advisory activities. Develop your understanding of cyber insurance and reinsurance.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years' experience in Cyber Security, Cyber Risk, Information Security, Cyber Resilience or Cyber Underwriting.
  • Strong knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK and ISO 27001.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially minded with an interest in developing within underwriting.
  • Insurance/reinsurance experience advantageous.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, CCSP or CCSK highly regarded.
  • Business-level Mandarin and English is essential.
