Working within a busy 30-bed Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery ward , you will support the Nurse Unit Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the unit while promoting excellence in patient care, staff development, and clinical governance. This role manages both elective and emergency patient cohorts and offers the opportunity to develop your leadership career within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. You will provide clinical leadership, support workforce management, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and work closely with Visiting Medical Officers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding patient outcomes. Requirements
- ● Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- ● Bachelor of Nursing
- ● Previous leadership or management experience within an acute hospital environment
- ● Experience in Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical or Surgical nursing highly regarded
- ● Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- ● Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care
- ● Understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement and national safety and quality standards
- ● Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including night duty
- ● Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant specialty are desirable but not essential
- ● Full Australian working rights required
