About the Company
We are looking for an experienced Financial Planning Analyst who will be responsible for leading financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting and project financing across the organisation's renewables energy portfolio.
Responsibilities
- ● Build and maintain master financial models for renewable energy projects.
- ● Stress-test models to gauge impact on project profit due to changes in loan interest rates, inflation, tax laws, and power prices.
- ● Gather operational and cost data from internal teams to set baseline inputs.
- ● Compare actual project spending against the approved budget by revising the financial model regularly as the project moves through different phases.
- ● Track variance of financial performance against model predictions to explain gaps and performance drivers.
- ● Build relationships with banking corporations to secure bank funding for long-term project loans and negotiate loan terms, interest rates, payback schedules , and financial rules (covenants).
- ● Lead forecasting and long-term financial planning to improve future project models .
- ● Act as the main point of contact for commercial banks, development banks, and export credit agencies to secure long-term project loans .
- ● Prepare the complete package of loan applications for banks, including detailed information memorandums, financial forecasts, and risk assessments .
- ● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Banking, or equivalent professional qualification.
- ● Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, finance, or investment analysis .
- ● Proficient in MS Office & Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System such as SAP , etc.
- ● Possess deep understanding of debt structuring, including debt sizing, debt service coverage ratios (DSCR), and cash sweeps .
- ● Possess strong presentation and negotiation skills to pitch projects to bank credit committees.
- ● Experience with renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
- ● Self-driven, meticulous, proactive, good team player, good interpersonal & communication skills with a keen analytical mind.
