Position: Engineer - Civil Engineer / Architect / Surveyor Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: AED 4,000 - 5,000 per month, depending on experience Joining: Immediate joiners preferred We are hiring an Engineer - Civil Engineer / Architect / Surveyor on behalf of our client, a well-established and rapidly growing audit firm in Dubai . This is a technical review, verification, and documentation role supporting engineering and government-facing projects. The position is focused on technical review and documentation rather than design or site execution. We are looking for a precise, methodical, and detail-oriented engineering professional who is comfortable working with high volumes of technical documents, drawings, numbers, and data.

Responsibilities

  • Review, interpret, and verify architectural drawings, construction plans, layouts, and engineering documents.
  • Cross-check permits, approvals, completion certificates, invoices, BOQs, payment vouchers, and supporting documents.
  • Reconcile invoices against BOQ line items and payment vouchers against invoices.
  • Verify drawings and technical documents against relevant permits and approvals.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing documents, duplicate invoices, mismatched amounts, expired permits, and unsupported claims.
  • Verify measurements, areas, quantities, specifications, and other technical details.
  • Provide technical clarification to internal teams based on drawings, plans, and project documentation.
  • Accurately enter information from invoices, BOQs, vouchers, drawings, and other source documents into structured Excel files and internal systems.
  • Prepare review reports, reconciliation statements, summary schedules, checklists, and status reports.
  • Use Excel confidently for formulas, filters, sorting, lookups, pivot tables, conditional checks, and reconciliation of large datasets.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy while working within agreed timelines.
  • Incorporate review comments and corrections promptly.
  • Organise and maintain technical and project documentation in a structured and easily retrievable manner.
  • Extract relevant information and drawings from client submissions, systems, and portals.
  • Upload technical documents, drawings, reports, and supporting files to government and client portals accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proper records of submissions, pending documents, approvals, and follow-ups.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, authorities, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and manage professional emails, reports, and technical correspondence in both languages as required.
  • Follow up on pending technical information, clarifications, approvals, and documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders until outstanding items are resolved and closed.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Land Surveying , or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Candidates qualified as a Civil Engineer, Architect, Quantity Surveyor, or Land Surveyor will be considered.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and cross-check architectural drawings, construction plans, and engineering documents.
  • Professional working proficiency in Arabic and English is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, authorities, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare and understand professional emails, reports, and technical documentation in both languages.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel , including formulas, filters, sorting, lookups, reconciliations, and large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word for document preparation and formatting.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for professional correspondence, follow-ups, and calendar management.
  • Comfortable working with online portals and uploading technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 year of relevant experience in construction, consultancy, engineering support, surveying, quantity surveying, or technical documentation.
  • Experience reviewing drawings and technical documents against approvals, permits, or supporting documentation will be an advantage.
  • Highly detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Precise and methodical in reviewing documents and data.
  • Comfortable working with high volumes of drawings, documents, invoices, and numbers.
  • Patient and composed when handling repeated follow-ups, corrections, and resubmissions.
  • Able to identify inconsistencies and discrepancies quickly.
  • Strong in data entry and documentation management.
  • Able to multitask, prioritise, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Professional and courteous when dealing with clients, authorities, and internal teams.
  • Own visa holders preferred for an immediate start.
  • Immediate joiners are preferred.
