About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Process Engineer to join our Central Engineering team. This role is responsible for coordinating and driving capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, process improvement initiatives, and production optimization activities across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the smooth implementation of projects, enhance operational efficiency, identify improvement opportunities, and support sustainable business growth. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities, coupled with a hands-on approach to engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

  • ● Assist in Bill of Quantities (BQ) preparation and work planning for CAPEX projects
  • ● Lead, coordinate, and follow through on process improvement and optimization projects
  • ● Generate and propose cost-saving and productivity improvement initiatives
  • ● Analyze existing processes, identify weaknesses, and implement preventive and corrective measures
  • ● Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective process solutions
  • ● Support troubleshooting and resolution of production plant issues to ensure high operational efficiency and reliability
  • ● Monitor and evaluate newly implemented processes to ensure effectiveness and sustainability
  • ● Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements
  • ● Provide engineering and project support as assigned by the Project Manager
  • ● Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required to support business needs

Requirements

  • ● Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • ● Minimum 2 years of experience in a Process Engineering, Project Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering role.
  • ● Experience in process improvement, troubleshooting, and manufacturing operations.
  • ● Exposure to CAPEX project execution and process optimization initiatives.
  • ● Experience working with process simulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • ● Experience using CAD and AutoCAD software.
  • ● Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
  • ● Demonstrated leadership capability and experience leading cross-functional team
  • ● Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • ● Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • ● Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • ● Basic proficiency in AutoCAD.
