About the Role

Responsibilities
- ● Lead the end-to-end data and reporting architecture for a large-scale data transformation program.
- ● Define the target-state Data & Reporting ecosystem aligned to AWS cloud principles, business priorities and compliance requirements.
- ● Design a scalable lakehouse and analytics architecture using Amazon S3, Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Athena, Amazon MWAA / Apache Airflow and related AWS-native services.
- ● Create conceptual, logical and physical architecture views covering ingestion, transformation, storage, orchestration, governance, reporting and consumption layers.
- ● Define reporting domains, KPI standards, semantic layers, dashboards, governed self-service analytics and report certification processes.
- ● Establish data governance principles covering ownership, stewardship, classification, lineage, quality, retention, access controls, privacy and regulatory evidence.
- ● Assess current-state reporting platforms, data flows, manual processes, data quality gaps and duplicated dashboards to identify consolidation and modernisation opportunities.
- ● Develop a delivery-ready roadmap covering epics, sequencing, dependencies, risks, assumptions, transition states, implementation priorities and business readiness needs.
- ● Support architecture decisions, design reviews, delivery planning, stakeholder workshops and executive-level recommendations. Required Experience
- ● + years of experience across data architecture, data engineering, enterprise reporting, analytics, BI or data transformation roles.
- ● Proven experience leading data transformation programs from current-state assessment through target-state architecture and implementation roadmap definition.
- ● Deep understanding of governed data environments, including auditability, compliance reporting, financial reconciliation, risk monitoring and operational controls.
- ● Hands-on experience defining AWS-based data architectures, including lakehouse, data warehouse, integration, orchestration, governance, security and reporting patterns.
- ● Ability to engage senior business and technology stakeholders and convert business outcomes into data capabilities, reporting requirements and delivery increments. Technical Skills
- ● Amazon S3, Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, AWS Glue Data Quality, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon MWAA / Apache Airflow and Amazon SageMaker.
- ● Data lakehouse, data warehouse, ETL/ELT, batch and near real-time data processing, source-to-target mapping and data reconciliation.
- ● Conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional and semantic data modelling.
- ● Metadata management, data catalogue, data lineage, business glossary, data quality rules and report-to-source traceability.
- ● Security, encryption, role-based access control, data masking, privacy controls and compliance-aligned data retention.
- ● BI/reporting tools, dashboard design, KPI standardisation, governed self-service analytics and executive reporting.

- ● We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect and Reporting Lead to lead the design and delivery preparation of a modern Data & Reporting ecosystem. The role will define the future-state architecture, reporting framework, data governance model and implementation roadmap aligned to the organisation's AWS target-state architecture. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in complex, data-driven enterprise environments where data quality, compliance, customer insight, financial transparency and trusted reporting are critical to business operations.
- ● The candidate must be able to translate business objectives, regulatory obligations and current reporting challenges into a practical, scalable and governed architecture. They will work closely with business leaders, compliance teams, data engineers, BI developers, platform teams and program leadership to create a delivery-ready roadmap that supports trusted insights, operational transparency and long-term data maturity.
