The role has a strong engineering focus, with involvement throughout technical reviews and the collection of verification evidence required to support cyber certification.

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you'll provide specialist cyber engineering advice within a complex, highly regulated environment, working closely with engineering teams and external delivery partners. Your Responsibilities Will Include Developing and reviewing cyber testing and certification plans Compiling and assessing verification evidence to support cyber certification Providing cyber engineering advice and working closely with engineering leads throughout technical activities Contributing to key system reviews, including SRR, PDR, DDR and TRR Representing the organisation in cyber working groups and engaging with external technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Providing cyber engineering advice and working closely with engineering leads throughout technical activities
  • Contributing to key system reviews, including SRR, PDR, DDR and TRR
  • Representing the organisation in cyber working groups and engaging with external technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or equivalent extensive industry experience
  • Experience with network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS and segmentation
  • Knowledge of system hardening across Windows, Linux and/or embedded platforms
  • Experience across one or more of secure software development, cryptography and key management, or incident detection and response
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and STIGs
  • The ability to simplify complex technical information and communicate it clearly to different audiences
  • A current NV1 security clearance
