About the Company

Allianz is building new expertise, processes, and infrastructure to harness the potential of data. The MultiChannelSales tribe focuses on sustainable growth through technical excellence and data-driven approaches to build and maintain valuable customer relationships. The CORDS team is developing a central control logic for a differentiated customer approach tailored to individual customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • You will work on a strategic, cross-divisional project within a cross-functional agile team.
  • You will develop and maintain batch data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using AWS Glue and SQL, working with data in Snowflake and MongoDB.
  • You will build and enhance real-time stream-processing applications using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
  • You will implement data transformations and help ensure the performance, scalability, reliability, and data quality of applications.
  • You will test applications, support CI/CD deployments using GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, and AWS, and monitor them in production.
  • You will work closely with business analysts, product owners, architects, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and other development teams throughout the complete development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • You are currently studying computer science, data engineering, information systems, business informatics, or a comparable subject.
  • You have good SQL skills and a basic understanding of databases, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • You have programming experience, ideally in Java and Python, and understand fundamental software-engineering concepts such as version control, automated testing, clean code practices, and CI/CD processes.
  • Initial experience with technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, MongoDB, Kafka, Flink, Jenkins, or Terraform is a plus.
  • You are curious, proactive, and analytically strong, motivated to understand both the technical solution and its underlying business case, and to gradually take ownership of your own tasks.
  • You have a good command of English, German skills are helpful but not required.
  • You are available immediately for a working student position for at least one year, 16-20 hours per week.
