About the Role

We are looking for a Permanent Full-Time RN and a Fixed-Term (1 Year) RN to join our Bunbury team Step into a rewarding role that directly impacts life-changing donations. As a Registered Nurse, you will bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia's supply of blood products. A day in the centre could see you: Our paid, flexible, self-paced training program strikes a balance between on-the-job practice and online classes to ensure you feel fully supported. You'll be joining a fast-paced, donor-focused environment , so beyond a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional donor experience, you'll need to be able to:

Responsibilities

  • ● Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • ● Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
  • ● Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • ● Set up machines and collections equipment
  • ● Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • ● Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
  • ● Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation
  • ● Occasionally lift between 9-22.7 kg
  • ● Provide a warm, friendly service to our donors
  • ● Apply your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing and holding current AHPRA registration
  • ● Frequently stand, walk, and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
  • ● Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Friday including early mornings and afternoons.
