About the Company
Limatica is a young and dynamic startup revolutionizing the battery diagnostics space. Our mission Bring battery cell quality to the next level to reduce scrap rates by boosting an own developed measurement method. After being founded and prototype being developed in 2023 & 2024, first hires and pilot partners followed in 2025. In 2026 we are planning to scale the technology beyond pilot projects and are looking for passionate talents that want to create and build. Responsibilities
- β Building Mechanical Test Setups: Hands-on assembly and wiring of hardware setups and test rigs for battery cell testing - from single components to full test stations with all aspects from mechanical to automation
- β Screwing, Fitting, Fixing: You genuinely enjoy Schrauben" - assembling, adjusting, and fine-tuning mechanical parts until everything fits and works.
- β Prototyping & Iteration: Support the team in designing, building and improving prototypes, translating sketches into CAD drawings and finally into working hardware.
- β Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical issues on test setups and directly help fix them together with our hardware team.
- β Optional: Supporting Battery Cell Testing: Work closely with the team in Chemnitz to test battery cells in different environments to understand voltage noise behavior.
Requirements
- β Mechanically Skilled: Enrolled in or trained in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Mechanics or a similar hands-on technical field.
- β A True Builder: You love to screw, build, and tinker - you're happiest with tools in your hand and enjoy turning ideas into physical hardware, from CAD model to finished part. Experience with CAD software (FreeCAD) is a strong plus. And be sure: We will test it in depth.
- β Curious & Adaptable: You have a do-er mentality and are pushing to get things done. You can immerse yourself in a topic and juggle technical details.
- β Detail-Oriented: Whether assembling test setups or documenting your build - attention to detail matters to you.
- β Team-Oriented: Collaboration is key at Limatica, and we need someone who thrives in a team environment.
- β Passionate about Energy & Sustainability: An interest in batteries and sustainable energy is a plus
