About the Company
SDV Consulting Engineers is conducting an executive search on behalf of a confidential client, a leading UAE chemical manufacturing company, for the appointment of a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is a rare opportunity to join an established industrial business operating a strategically important chemical manufacturing facility in the UAE.
Responsibilities
- ● Lead the overall operations and performance of the company.
- ● Drive world-class manufacturing, process safety, reliability, quality, and HSE performance.
- ● Improve productivity, cost competitiveness, asset utilization, and operational efficiency.
- ● Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with the company's long-term objectives.
- ● Work closely with commercial teams to optimize production planning, customer service, pricing, and profitability.
- ● Lead capital investment projects, plant upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- ● Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- ● Deliver strong financial performance with full responsibility for operational KPIs and P&L.
Requirements
- ● Executive leadership experience within the chemical or continuous-process manufacturing industry.
- ● Proven success leading large manufacturing operations with full P&L accountability.
- ● Strong commercial and strategic business acumen, with the ability to translate operational excellence into sustainable profitability.
- ● Demonstrated leadership in HSE, operational excellence, change management, and organizational development.
- ● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- ● An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
