About the Company

Our client is a private equity investment firm based in Germany, active across Central Europe. The firm partners with growing companies at the intersection of technology and long-term structural trends, with a particular focus on software and technology-driven services, healthcare, and industrial technology. It manages several hundred million euros across multiple investment vehicles, typically committing tens of millions of euros per transaction. The team stays closely involved post-investment, supporting portfolio companies with strategic and operational input to drive long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support origination and screening of new investment opportunities across software/tech-enabled services, healthcare, and industrial technology
  • Build and maintain financial models (LBO, three-statement, sensitivity/scenario analysis) to support investment theses and valuation
  • Prepare and review financial and commercial due diligence workstreams
  • Draft investment memoranda and materials for the investment committee, including market sizing, competitive positioning and value creation plans
  • Conduct market and competitive landscape research to identify attractive verticals and consolidation opportunities (buy-and-build)
  • Support management teams post-investment on strategic initiatives, operational improvement projects and growth planning
  • Assist with portfolio company monitoring, e.g. tracking KPIs, budget vs. actuals, and board reporting
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, ideally from a consulting background, Big4 (Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence), investment banking, or a PE fund
  • Demonstrable active deal exposure, internship or full-time experience at a bank or fund is a strong plus
  • A strong commercial and analytical mindset
  • Modelling ability
  • Strong academic record from a good university
  • Fluent English and German
