About the Company

As a Mining Engineer , you'll work closely with a team of experienced professionals to plan, monitor and optimise underground mining operations. This is a hands-on role where your contributions will directly support safe, productive and cost-effective outcomes. This role will be based onsite in Cobar, NSW working an 8/6 days FIFO roster from Brisbane or Sydney with local candidates highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • ● Develop and implement drill and blast plans
  • ● Stope design, optimisation and reconciliation.
  • ● Provide technical input into daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans
  • ● Monitor development and production performance
  • ● Providing technical support and troubleshooting
  • ● Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure plan compliance
  • ● Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site

Requirements

  • ● Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent
  • ● Demonstrated underground hard rock mining experience is essential
  • ● Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • ● Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • ● Exposure to mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Surpac) will be highly regarded
