Job Description<br><br>Immune Specific Accountabilities<br><br><br> * Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes.<br> * Responsible for immediately reporting flight/product safety concerns.<br> * Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.<br> <br> <br><br>Specific Accountabilities<br><br><br> * Reads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed.<br> * Performs repair process by applying current & approved technical data and job instructions.<br> * Computes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work pieces.<br> * Verifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers. Troubleshoots, debugs and modifies to achieve expected performance.<br> * Sets up, operates and maintains CNC/Grinding/Lapping/CMM/Polishing/Pressure Blast/Peening/Lathe machine/ Chemical Cleaning Line using approved blueprints, component drawing specifications, job instructions and SOP.<br> * Performs daily 5S and machine preventive maintenance using approved PM checklist.<br> * Performs basic machine trouble shooting; solve technical issues and problems where appropriate in daily work.<br> * Participates in audits, inspections and continuous improvement of cell processes.<br> * Maintains personal qualifications as stated in the appropriate company process.<br> * Cross trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements.<br> * Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.<br> * Supervises trainees in the on-the-job trainer training requirements.<br> * Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.<br> * Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.<br> * Carries out other duties as assigned.<br> <br> <br><br>Technical Requirements<br><br><br> * Operate lifting equipment, CNC/Grinding/Lapping/CMM/Polishing/Pressure Blast/Peening/Lathe machine, Chemical Cleaning and other equipment as required.<br> * Perform dimensional and geometric measurements, use of hand tools.<br> * Possess high degree of mechanical & mathematical aptitude, accuracy and precision.<br> * Thorough knowledge of manufacturing, tool design, fabrication methods and processes, metallurgy and heat treating.<br> * Working knowledge of welding, hydraulics, electricity and pneumatics.<br> * Awareness and understanding of Basic Human Factors and Error Management<br> * Self- disciplined and able to communicate effectively and work as a team.<br> * Apply workplace safety and health practices and perform basic safety practices and documentation.<br> * Apply 5S and basic CI techniques in the workplace.<br> <br> <br><br>Qualifications<br><br><br> * NITEC in Precision Machining/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics<br> * Experience in operating surface / cylindrical grinding / milling /manual lathe/ CNC Machine/ CMM / Pressure Blast/ Peening machine / Chemical Cleaning Equipment<br> <br> <br><br>About Us<br><br>Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911<br><br>With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
