About the Company
- Allocate tasks to crew members and supervise activities to ensure that safe operating procedures are followed - Analyze and remedy issues/faults that are beyond the scope of Chief Electrician subordinates - Keep track of inventory and liaise with superiors for the procurement of required spare parts, without undue overstocking - Ensure that work areas are kept clean and safe working practices are employed - Maintain appropriate records of work done and consumables used - Prepare scope of maintenance/repair works required for dry-dock / non-commissioned vessels, equipment and installations and work in close coordination with superiors to monitor subcontracted work - Compliance in accordance with section/Company policies & procedures, Policy of Integrity & Code of Conduct and HSE standards - Implement maintenance programs - Review detailed daily, weekly and monthly work plans, allocate duties and monitor performance to ensure deadlines are met and that completed work meets set standards - Train and mentor junior colleagues in job methodology to enable them to gain an understanding how work is to be undertaken and to improve their effectiveness
Responsibilities
- ● Must be familiar with functioning & maintenance works of A/C systems, refrigeration plant (Chillers, package units, split units, freezers, etc) and physical plant components.
- ● Good experience in supervising and planning preventive maintenance of Power management systems, UPS systems, transformers, power distribution boards, capacitor banks, ACBs, VCBs, etc
- ● Good experience in supervising & planning repair, maintenance & troubleshooting of Fixed firefighting and detection equipment & Gas Detection systems for both addressable & conventional types.
- ● Good experience in installation, repair, maintenance & troubleshooting of different marine industrial electrical equipment (Derrick/Pedestal Cranes, Huisman/SAS/Remacut/ Westech HMD pipe tensioner and pipe handling equipment, Automatic Welding systems, mooring winch system, Ballasting tank level monitoring systems, variable frequency drives, etc..)
- ● Ability to read/interpret drawings/line diagrams
- ● Must be able to work as part of a team in remote locations
- ● Good written and spoken English language skills
- ● Good communication skills
Requirements
- ● Three-Year Diploma in Engineering in a related discipline, or equivalent
- ● Minimum 08 years of relevant experience in similar industries, of which at least 04 years as an Assistant Chief Electrician
