Patent Engineer (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

• ● Responsibilities:
• ● Supporting the drafting, review and prosecution of patent applications in national and international contexts
• ● Conducting patent searches and analyzing patent landscapes and competitor activities
• ● Assessing inventions and invention disclosures with regard to patentability, including novelty and inventive step
• ● Contributing to freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses and risk assessments
• ● Working closely with inventors and specialist departments to ensure high-quality IP applications
• ● Supporting opposition and appeal proceedings as well as strategic IP matters
• ● Contributing to projects focused on digitalization and the use of AI in the IP field
• ● Qualifications:
• ● Above-average degree in a technical or scientific discipline
• ● Ideally, initial exposure to intellectual property protection, patents or IP processes
• ● Strong digital skills and initial experience with AI, as well as an interest in using AI-supported solutions in the IP environment
• ● Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to present complex technical matters precisely
• ● Very good written and spoken German and English skills
