  • Lead the assessment and treatment of patients admitted through the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit (AMU).
  • Develop individualized management plans and coordinate timely investigations and interventions.
  • Stabilize critically ill patients and facilitate appropriate referral or transfer to intensive care or specialty services when required.
  • Collaborate with emergency physicians, intensivists, cardiologists, neurologists, respiratory physicians, nephrologists, surgeons, and other specialists to provide multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Interpret laboratory investigations, diagnostic imaging, ECGs, and other clinical assessments to support rapid decision-making.
  • Participate in daily ward rounds, patient reviews, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and maintain electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.
  • Promote patient safety, infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, morbidity and mortality meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
  • Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, and medical staff where applicable.
